On Today’s Show
Author Anne Grady says the idea of “balance” is antiquated. It was first introduced in the 18th and 19th centuries when people were working 16 hours a day, six days a week. Hopefully, our life has changed (if you are working that much it’s time to rethink some things.) Our goal should not be to be balanced. Our goal should be to identify our priorities, spend time focusing on those priorities, and not to feel guilty about doing so.

1 Simple Thing Action
Write down a list of your top 5-6 priorities and make sure your schedule incorporates, at least, a few of those things into your routine this week. If family is a priority, make sure you schedule a time to have a sit-down meal with your family where screens are off, and it’s dedicated time focused on your family. Identify your priorities and make sure there’s alignment between that list and what’s in your calendar.
