On Today’s Show
Author and productivity expert Mike Vardy talks about why using a calendar as a task management solution on its own is a bad idea. Mike shares his method of permanently assigning specific “themes” to each day of the week. If you start to theme those days, you give yourself a bit more of a jump-start into your day. Instead, you wake up, and you know immediately the general focus of tasks and projects to tackle that day.

1 Simple Thing Action:
Start using your calendar for date-specific appointments only. Then you can start using your calendar as more of a framework than a ruling approach to your day. Try to “theme” your days. That will give you something valuable to look at, and when you wake up in the morning your brain is already predisposed to know which are the types of tasks you need to get done today.
