Start a daily gratitude list on your phone (or just write it down.) Every morning when you wake up write down two things you are grateful for. For an extra challenge, try not to repeat what you have already written down. To help quit the comparisons you want to learn to be grateful, and the gratitude list is something you can do to help keep yourself grounded.
Episode 542: The Financial Impact of Social Media
1 Simple Thing Action:
Have boundaries with social media and know where you’re at in life. If you are in a moment feeling miserable, and it’s not a good place in life right now, then Instagram and Facebook might not be the place you want to live for 5 hours a day. It’s okay to take a break from social media for awhile and have a reality check for yourself. Also, don’t compare yourself to everyone’s highlight reel because it’s not reality and it’s not the whole picture. And consistently practice gratitude and learn to love your life and not everyone else’s
Episode 543: Recognize Your Money Habits
1 Simple Thing Action:
It’s important to realize which money habits are helping you and which habits are harming you. Look at your money situation. Are you doing a budget? Are you in control of your finances? Are you talking to your spouse about it? We all have money habits, either good or bad, so look at the bad ones and say “I’m going to work on these to fix and transform them into good money habits instead of bad.”
Episode 544: How a Plan Changes Everything
1 Simple Thing Action:
Stop comparing your life with everyone else, learn to love the life you are in, and create healthy money habits support that, then get to the point where you are happy and grateful for where you are today. Start with establishing a foundation of contentment, then build on top of it with good money habits, including a budget. This practice will give you peace in the present and help you achieve the life you want in the future because you are taking control of your money.
